STUDIO: EOYS VISUAL IDENTITY/ANIMATION

I began the process by referring to my concept and some previous research examples. Given the fact my concept was revolving around transition, I felt like I should begin with an animation which would be found on social media and other online platforms. I selected the Universities own brand pink and combined it with a neutral black to make sure the pink stood out and represented the Uni's branding correctly. I then spent a lot of time playing with the typeface I had selected and how it could transition throughout the animation, using simple shapes to generate the event information. The idea is that whatever came of this animation could be later translated onto print.

Below is the animated advert I managed to create using the resources I decided to use. using the type to seamlessly transition in and out throughout the loop clearly conveys the concept. The event information develops and changes throughout the animation with easy an easy to follow story line. The main show on the event info used the serif typeface whilst the info for the Vernon street foundation show used the sans serif version. This meant that each show could be later branded a lot simpler via the audience understanding which typeface belonged to which show.

The clear typesetting and shapes used could be easily formatted on many other platforms which is what I'd now attempt to do. This gives the branding a strong identity that can be recognised on multiple platforms.
