STUDIO: MAGIC MUSIC EXPERIMENT

After reviewing my research, I found like one of the ways artists create work inspired by music is listening to it and creating what they feel is fit for the that sound, be it colour or texture etc. I felt like this was too cliche or simple as I could just make anything and claim it as being inspired by the music. I decided to input a sample of the clients music into an audio visualising software called Magic Demo which allows you to illustrate sounds in really abstract ways creating bizarre patterns. I limited my tools within the software down to simple lines going across both axis to perhaps help me make some sort of grid that would aid me in the creation of a logo. Below are my results of the quietest and loudest part of music followed by other screenshots of images made.

I ended up using the loudest and most intense part of musics image to devise a grid that would later be used to create some sort of logo or typeface for the logo. This was the beginning of the visual identity for the label.
