PPP: CONTACTING STUDIOS FOR WORK
Since, I had no industry experience prior to graduating and I felt like I had some spare time on my hands, I decided to put myself out there and approach some studios. I found 10 studios that I really liked and could see myself working at and approached each one with this email. (customised slightly for each studio)
After this I received a few emails back straightaway. Most of them said that they were really bust but they might give me a brief later in the week when they have some more time on their hand. One studio however that did reply with something hopeful was Newfor studio. This was their response.
This was amazing news, especially the fact I was being paid. I began a quick brief designing several poster concepts for an existing client of theirs, Pursula. The concept was that Pursula (an events and experience organiser) were collaborating with a local hotel chain, W Hotels. I had to create several poster concept advertising this new collaboration. The studio stated that they wanted me to design the posters inspired by old Ibiza night-club flyers, given the fact this was an Ibiza based business. These were my initial outcomes.

After receiving some feedback and more direction towards how they envisioned the identity, I pushed one single idea to its full potential. This time they gave me some photographs used in their previous case study. They also wanted me to use the same colours as their previous study.

PPP: UPDATED PORTFOLIO
I felt like towards the end of this academic year, I had much better projects under my belt and it was time to update my portfolio. I made sure I referenced the feedback I received from my last portfolio review and stretched the projects across more pages, giving them more view time.
